TCFT MESSAGE
TCFT is an international youth-led community of artists, activists and change-makers with a collective ambition to develop global youth citizenship through culture and the arts.
TCFT seeks to create a connected community of young people in Europe who are passionate about positive social change within their communities and across cultures.
Our residencies connects artists, activists and community leaders across borders for up to two weeks of workshops, discussions, visits and cultural exchange.
We seek to bring together a diverse community of individuals, constantly developing our collective understanding of what it means to be inclusive and accessible to people of all backgrounds, regardless of ability, gender, sexuality, race or class.
Tolerance, inclusiveness, deeper learning and an understanding of "the other" is at the heart of this creative process.
It seeks to foster understanding between people from different backgrounds, transcend language barriers and facilitate the space in which to create emancipatory change, through the exchange of culture and the highest quality facilitation through traditional and modern art forms.

This video is a fragment of a 5 day workshop led by Robert Golden in Sarajevo for the Changing the Story programme. Six young people from Bosnia & Herzegovina, England and Italy took part and are now making films which are about their concerns for the state of their countries and life in general.
Young people from across Bosnia & Herzegovina came together to take part in a series of workshops and discussions on filmmaking, activism and art led by Robert Golden. The week together in Sarajevo was the beginning of a process where participants will produce a series of documentary films tackling the issues and ideas they care about.
The workshops are part of a collaboration between Opera Circus, TCFT, Humanity in Action BiH, King’s College London and the Centre for World Cinemas & Digital Cultures for an international research programme asking how the arts, heritage, and human rights education can support youth-centred approaches to civil society building in post-conflict settings across the world.
The Giufà Project is a collaboration between artists, young people and creative organisations across Europe to explore the theme of migration in the context of the mass movements of people taking place across the planet right now and to deliver new creative work in response. It has been born from The Complete Freedom of Truth, a youth programme created by Opera Circus which delivers cultural exchanges, residencies, skills development and leadership to a growing network of young people across Europe and has been commissioned by Glyndebourne as part of the company’s ongoing work to introduce opera to a wider audience.
