Lidija Antonovic

Lidija Antonović (born in Belgrade 1984) graduated at the Academy of Arts in Belgrade in 2008, at the Department of Photography in the class of professor Milan Aleksić. The tendency to explore contemporary flows of transmedial application of artistic photography leads her to the field of performance, where she successfully explores the movement as an artist through photography. She has been working with Theater Mimart for over ten years as a photographer, performer and video artist. Within the Master's Degree of the Moving Academy for Performing Art in Amsterdam (MAPA), she is trained in the field of applied photography, and she has two diplomas: Light Design & Studio Management (2009) and Projection of Icons (2010).

She has gained professional experience in TANJUG Agency as a photojournalist and editor (2010/2011). She worked as a professional photographer at the Belef festivals (2006/2008), on manifestation Night of Museum, associate with: STANICA- Service for contemporary dance, Association of Drama Artists of Serbia and BITEF/Bitef Polyphony until now.

So far Lidija Antonović exhibited nineteen solo exhibitions and over twenty-eight group exhibitions, of which on four international exhibitions in Budapest (HUN), Dortmund (GER) and Harkov (UKR). She received many praise and awards in Serbia and abroad, from which a bronze medal at the 13th International Triennial "Theater in Photographic Art" at Sterija Pozorje in Novi Sad in 2011. Till now she participated in over 300 street performances, ambiental shows, animations and contemporary actions and installations. She is author of twenty art, experimental and documentary films.

Nela Antonovic

Nela is an art director, performer, educator, science researcher with an MA in Technology and an associate/lecturer at the Belgrade Dance Institute.

She was the founder of NGO Theatre MIMART in Belgrade since 1984 and has led the organisation as Artistic Director until now. Nela has created her own creative method through Mimart as an expert of non-formal education through conceptual thinking, she leads intercultural EU projects and is a creative mentor of Youth.

Nela researches audience development through Community Art and inclusion. By using an open process, she is exploring nonverbal communication which overpasses all boundaries: lingual, political, cultural, religious, and geographical. Through interdisciplinary exploring phenomenon of society through participation. Nela Antonovic is an author of 62 theatre performances and over 400 Art performances and street theatre productions and with she has participated in over 30 European festivals up until 2018.

Having long-term experience of research work in theatre, Nela Antonovic published books “Mimart Rings” (2000), “Phenomenology through movement” (2004), e-books “25” (2009) and  e – Monograph Mimart (2014). 

Anja Nikolic

Anja was born in Loznica where she started with Latin and standard dance and she was multi state champion. After that she went in Belgrade where she graduated from the ballet high school "Lujo Davico" and started to work with different choreographers on projects from Belgrade, Sarajevo, Zagreb, Mostar, Dubrovnik, London, Vienna etc. and finished master-workshops of Mime arts-physical theatre with Rick Wamar from USA and Ide van Heiningen from Amsterdam.

Working and dancing as a freelance artist in Bitef theatre, Madlenianum, JDP, Theatre Dusko Radovic, SKC, Rex, UK Parobrod in a number of performances with main roles: "Dreams“ (Bojan Milosavljevic), "Inside out" (Ashly Fragnoly), "Blad of Lost Moon“ (Aleksandar Sasa Ilic), "Limes" (Mimart theatre by Nela Antonovic), "Three notes" (Ashly Fragnoly and Rebeca Davis), "Fall from 9th Meteor" (Bojan Milosavljevic), "Littel aches" (Rebeca Davis), "North Fairytale" (Stasa Zurovac), "Wather" (Mimart theatre), "Dreams 2" (Bojan Milisavljevic), "Kadmo the King" (Mimart theatre), "Los Yugoslavos" (Stevan Bodroza), "Swimming with River" (Mimart theatre), "Gracefuly egzistent" (Natan Cotam), "Pastor's Black Veil" (Romeo Castellucci), "Madam Tussauds" (Evgenia Veda) and “Someone’s Angel” (Atila Antal).

She has appeared in video performances "Let me out" with Dragan Mileusnic, "DID“ at the Belgrade Festival of Miniatures, "Seppuku" with David Pujado, "Shaolin dance" with Dragan Chulo and a number of performances for various fashion festivals, music videos and exhibitions.

Anja is also a dance teacher-educator in a Dance studio, where she is working with children, adults and older people, leading her own workshop with a mix of different techniques (from classical ballet and contemporary to physical theatre).

She has been a member of Theater Mimart since 2009 and is a part of the EU-funded project “The Complete Freedom of Truth” since its pilot creative residency 2014, where she started working as a leader and organiser of TCFT (for the first time in Serbia 2018).
