The Complete Freedom of Truth is an international inclusive youth led culture and arts programme providing skills training and cultural awareness for young people across Europe. Tolerance, inclusiveness, deeper learning and an understanding of the other are at the heart of this creative process.

Every year there is an event in August lasting two weeks. In 2015 this was in Srebrenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina. This town has had a long relationship with the young people of West Dorset who have made several exchanges between their countries developing friendships and understanding

There is a 5 day arts residency in Bridport during the half term holiday, 15th – 19th February, offering workshops in poetry, spoken word, various forms of dance, music, painting, photography and film. The workshops will be held at Bridport Town Hall, Bridport Arts Centre, theatre and café, and Steps Studio, the new dance studio opened by Nikki Northover who leads Bridport Youth Dance.

Organisations involved include Diverse City, Swanage, The Arts Development Company, Dorchester, Opera Circus, Bridport, The Youth Centre, Bridport, Remix West and Activate, Dorchester, Bridport Arts Centre, Deaf Explorer, Birmingham, amongst others.

Young people from the ages of 15 – 26 are welcome, please ask if you are outside this age range as exceptions can be made. Workshops on offer include singing and song writing, dance with different styles from hip hop and street to a taste of Indian classical dance. Poetry, spoken word and visual arts available depending on demand. Monday 15th will be working with Diverse City, who create ambitious performances and performance-training that brings together disabled and non- disabled people, older and younger people and people from all backgrounds. This day will be open to people of all ages and is a training day, 10.30 – 3.30.

There is a charge of £5 per day for the project and an application form can be obtained from Eilis Davis at Remix West. On Friday 19th February there will be a sharing of work in progress including some film and dance created in Srebrenica last August 2016 at 7pm- 9pm at BAC, tickets £5 for audience members over 16.
